First Aid at Work Requalification Training in Cumbria

GMC MedSafe provides First Aid at Work Requalification training for existing workplace First Aiders across Cumbria.

This two-day course allows eligible First Aiders to refresh their knowledge, update their practical skills and renew their First Aid at Work qualification for a further three years.

Who Is the FAW Requalification Course For?

First Aid at Work Requalification is intended for existing First Aiders whose current FAW qualification is approaching expiry or who remain eligible to complete the shorter requalification route.

Ideally, learners should complete their requalification before their existing certificate expires.

Learners whose qualification has recently expired may still be eligible for the two-day course in certain circumstances. If a certificate has been expired for more than three months, the learner will normally need to complete the full three-day First Aid at Work course again.

What Does the First Aid at Work Requalification Course Cover?

How Long Is the FAW Requalification Course?

First Aid at Work Requalification involves 12 hours of training delivered over at least two days.

The course is commonly delivered over two consecutive days, although alternative arrangements may be possible where required, subject to the qualification requirements.

The course contains both practical and theoretical elements, and learners should be prepared to participate fully in activities including CPR, casualty assessment and realistic First Aid scenarios.
